What I do
I plan it, order it, run it and do the work. Where a job needs a plumber for new pipework, or an architect or engineer for anything structural, I bring them in and work around them. Either way you've got one person answering for the job.
Bathroom renovation
Strip-out to final seal — tanking, tiling, electrics, and the suite fitted. Keep the layout and I do the lot.
Kitchen fitting
Flat-pack or bespoke, levelled and scribed to Altbau walls that are never straight.
Electrical work
A qualified electrician doing it himself, not subbing it out — one socket to a full rewire.
Tiling
Walls and floors, big porcelain down to mosaic, on a substrate that's been prepared properly first.
Drywall & partitions
Putting walls up, taking them out, dropping ceilings, and boxing in the stuff nobody wants to look at.
Painting & decorating
The prep is most of the job. Filling, sanding, plaster repair, then paint that actually stays put.
Flooring & parquet
Bringing Berlin floorboards and parquet back where they can be saved, and levelling subfloors where they can't.
Apartment renovation
The whole flat, planned and run end to end, with one person answering for it.
Exhibition & shop fitting
Stands, retail and gallery installs — built fast, to a fixed date, then made good.
General handyman work
Shelves and TVs fixed properly into solid Berlin walls, flat-pack built, sticking doors eased, handles and hinges swapped, and the list of small jobs that's been on the fridge since spring. Minimum booking is 3 hours, so it's worth saving a few up for one visit.
Plumbing: what I will and won't do
I fit sanitaryware. A shower, a bath, a toilet, a basin, new taps, waste connections — if the pipework and drainage are already where they need to be, that's a normal part of a bathroom or kitchen for me and I'll do the lot.
What I won't do is move the plumbing itself. Running new supply lines, relocating a soil pipe, changing where the drainage goes — that's a plumber's work and it wants someone who does it every day. If your job needs it, I'll get a plumber in at first fix, work around them, and keep everything on one schedule so you're not managing two trades.
What I don't do at all
Architecture and structural engineering. On anything that involves taking a wall out, those people have to be involved, so I bring them in, build to what they specify and keep the job running to one programme. Being straight about the limits up front is cheaper for everyone than finding out halfway through.
